The Rebellion Roster

Heroes of the Homeland

At peace, every hero is a round ball of living fire or water. The moment one kits up in tactical gear, the transformation takes hold — sleek humanoid, elemental hair streaming, eyes glowing — and the Rebellion goes to work. Twelve answered the call.

Know the Enemy

The Underworld Crew

Two kinds of trouble crawled up through the cracks. Learn them both before your first mission.

Threat File 01

The Slimers

Blobs of living oil, oozed up from the deepest Underworld. A Slimer doesn't chase you — it spreads, slicking streets, swallowing torches, and squeezing through any gap it can find. Where a Slimer has been, nothing can burn and nothing can stand.

They poured in first because they prepare the ground: every smothered light is one more street the Boneheads can patrol in the dark.

Rebellion rule: a Slimer is smothered — sealed under Caldera ash and earth until it stops moving. Never spray one with water. Water spreads oil; it would only make the Slimer bigger.

Threat File 02

The Bonehead Crew

The Underworld's skeleton patrol — all clatter, wobble, and misplaced confidence. Boneheads march the taken streets in set patrol routes, sweeping their lanterns ahead of them, absolutely certain nothing can slip past. Things slip past constantly.

Startle one and it falls apart on the spot — then spends ten minutes arguing with its own scattered bones about whose fault it was. Dangerous in a group, hilarious alone, and beatable by any hero patient enough to watch a patrol route twice.

Rebellion rule: you don't fight a patrol — you out-wait it. Learn the route, mind the lantern's cone of light, and leave the Boneheads guarding an empty street.
